Perfume and Cologne
During Christmas at my parent’s home, I managed to give several people on my list perfume and cologne as gifts. I didn’t actually plan it that way, but as I thought of gifts for each person, I saw that some of them had perfume and cologne on their list, so I bought them what they asked for. Everyone appreciated their gifts and not too long after Christmas my sister called me to ask how I could afford to buy perfume and cologne for everyone. She commented that it wasn’t like I’d gone to a discount store and bought the cheap stuff, but instead I’d bought designer brands instead.
I explained to her that several years ago I stopped buying perfume and cologne in the store when I found that I could order it online for a much better price, sometimes as much as half the price of the retail stores. With prices like that I could easily afford to buy everyone a bottle for Christmas and still have enough left in my budget to buy them a little something extra. She was surprised and said she’d obviously been missing out on some great deals, but not anymore.
