I’ve just been reading another contributor’s blog post about perfume and cologne products helping people to stay fresh during hot weather. What he wrote made me think about the years I lived in Athens, Greece. I used to like to go out with friends sometimes at weekends or in the late evening after finishing work. In Greece summer is really hot and it stays very warm even at night. If I had not used a good shower gel, deodorant, body spray and eau perfume I would definitely have stunk because in that climate one cannot help but sweat profusely. As it happens I have always been very scrupulous about showering and using deodorant and eau perfume. Hence when I went out partying in Greece I didn’t worry about sweating because I knew that all I smelled like was the fragrant essential oils in my eau perfume. Most other people smelled like eau perfume or cologne products too because everybody knew how hot it was. Unfortunately not everybody is that clean, though. I remember having to share a taxi with a heavy-set man who stunk to high heaven one summer night in Athens and it was not an experience that I would like to repeat.
